We’re taking a break to make the Green Ribbon Awards even better.
Watch this space for more details.
We’ll be back soon!

The 27th annual Green Ribbon Awards were held in 2017 to recognise outstanding contributions by individuals, communities and organisations to protect and manage New Zealand’s environment.

We were delighted to congratulate the winners with special mention of the Supreme Winner: Hawke’s Bay-based Whangawehi Catchment Management Group, a collaborative initiative between iwi, councils and the community to restore their local waterway.

The category winners represented a cross-section of environmental projects and programmes happening across the country – from communities protecting local eco-systems to big businesses transforming their processes. Read on to discover how Kiwis are stepping up to protect our environment for generations to come.
